  1. you can spar every day but..... there are different types of sparing

    1)training spar

    2) mad people jus wanna beat you up!

the best thing is not to spar as (2) cus it can damage your brain and also make you dissy.trust me iv experienced dizziness after sparing almost every day. just tell your partner to help you work on your weaknesses.

  2. Preparing for a fight, sparing every day is a great idea. When I was fighting I was sparing 5 out of my 6 days of training. Getting ring craft skills is very important

  3. no its not ok, if you get hit hard it could be extremely dangerous for your brain and fists, look at mayweather jr

  4. Depends how hard and how often you are getting hit and how long you spar for.

Up to an hours worth of sparring at moderate pace or high pace but not hitting hard. you could get away with tthat without any trouble, especially if you are wearing headgear and large gloves.

  5. I do not think sparring every day is necessary. work on basics and conditioning and there are other ways to do it besides sparring. Do not over do the sparring. I would say 3 times a week when you have an upcoming fight if you do not even less. The whole thing is to hit your peak then afterwards cut down from there. If you have been fighting for a long time you should know when you peak out.

  6. Some trainers think sparring everyday is mandatory because you're practicing in true competition situations. Other trainers think that doing that will only burn you out and discourage you.

My take is that it all depends on your experience and defensive skills. You shouldn't be taking hard shots to the head everyday. If you have clean-enough defense, then sparring everyday is fine. Besides, there is such a thing as half-speed sparring or "boxing sparring" versus "all-out war" sparring. As for joint health, it's not a big deal. I think beating the bag will wreck your joints more than hitting air against a constantly moving target.

  7. What you have to remember is sparring is just that a way to improve your skills Joe Calzaghe said more boxers have been permanently damaged by turning there sparring into wars daily than in actual fights
