Lass = girl. Use it all the time in Scotland. Pretty common word here.

It may well be found in parts of Ireland, though I don't know that.

It's common in Scotland and less commonly but fairly widespread in Ireland too, but more usually thowards the North. It's also used in different parts of rural England.
