  1. no sorry im on a blood thinner and unless it has asprin in it then its not meaning the same thing asprin has in it its contents

  2. Not really.

    It's a non-steriodal anti-inflammatory. While it does change your blood's hemodynamics, it's not strictly a blood thinner.

Blood thinners are anticoagulants (which prevent or reduce clotting in blood). While Motrin (ibuprofen) does affect platelets, it's not really considered an anticoagulant.

  3. No, Motrin is not a blood thinner. It's classified as a NSAID-Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Used for minor pain and on a short term basis. Motrin can cause stomach cramping and eventually if used at ahigh dose(600-800mg) for too long may lead to abdominal bleeding from irritation to the lining of the stomach. It contains NO aspirin. An example of a blood thinner is Coumadin, and this is not for pain.

  4. No. It doesn't have any of the properties that cause that. Aspirin, however, does.

  5. Aspirin thins blood-- motrin is not aspirin.  However, motrin is a type of ibuprofen which is an anti-inflammatory.  Ibuprofen dilates blood vessels, allowing for the blood to travel through the body faster, and giving the appearance of more blood during menstruation, injury, etc.
