Question:

Is my red oak dying?

All the leaves on my red oak turned brown and most of them have fallen off. Today I noticed that the trunk of the tree is turning a greenish color, and that there is stuff oozing out, some is white and foamy and some is green. Is this bad? Will my tree survive?

  1. Sounds like it might be slime flux or wet wood disease, which is common in oaks.  Here's a link so you can check it out.

Unfortunately...no quick cure.  Read about it.
