Is our cage okay?

Our cage holds two parakeets which get along great and have their wings clipped. I'm worried the cage may be too small. Here's are cage:

notice the four small perches we kept and at the bottom they have two two-part feed containers

we also put a small 6 inch climbing toy at the top, a small food container at the bottom with a honey bar in it, a branch we found at a petstore for putting in their perch, a ladder, and a mirror. We also have a 8 inch hanging food toy.

1. Is this too crowded

2. Is it big enough for two parakeets?

  1. it'll be fine

  2. I'm glad you asked! Cages should always be wider than tall. if I were you I would try to get my money back, because this cage does not fit the birds.

    1. Too crowded

    2. Too small for two budgies. They simply don't/can't use a tall cage.

This is the size you want (this is called a "double breeder" cage. It comes with a divider but you should not use that)

My budgie has a 30Lx15Wx15H double breeder cage. I got mine off ebay.

Good Luck finding the perfect cage!

  3. it looks to be big enough for atleast 3-4 birds in there

  4. Hello,

It is not to crowded for parakeets. It is a very ideal size. Two parakeets it is fine. And with the toys it is very nice!

    Thanks---

  5. It seems big enough to fit more than 2 birds in it. If there just little, then there should be a bit more room. lol. enjoy.!
