Is saturday a working day?

Im waiting for a cheque ti clear it says 2 working days so friday and saturday? or will it clear on monday is saturday a working day for banks in the uk TSB

if you paid it in today then it should be clear by Wednesday.  The weekend does not count.

2 working days for a cheque to clear in a bank means that

a) you don't count the day you first paid in the cheque

b) the following 2 working days, Monday to Friday should be counted

If  you paid in on Monday, (Tuesday & Wednesday) are the 2 working days required. You can withdraw on Thursday.

Working days are Mondays to Fridays.

All cheques  for clearing are gathered together in the evenings after close of  business everyday. Therefore, the date of payment is not counted as day one.

It is a working day (for some people) but not a business day. You don't count Sat/Sun, so a week is 5 working/business days. Also Bank holidays are not working/business days
