The only reason im asking this is because after my doctors blood test it says that my protein level or whatever was a little high and i should stay away from meat or something. Even though i don't eat a lot of meat..i am just taking it into consideration.

I know chicken, beef, pork and like all that is considered meat but what about seafood? I don't mean like fish. I mean like scalops

  1. Yes

If it was part of a living creature, it's meat.

The question is whether or not your doctor was talking about things like scallops when he said to stay away from meat.

  2. yes. what else is it, a vegetable?

  3. I would consider anything from animal flesh meat, that would include fish and scallops.

  4. Fish and seafood is not considered meat.

  5. It is still meat. It, like chicken and pork, is just not considered red meat.
