Is she my friend or not?

I have a friend / associate that I always invite to my home for gatherings (her children and husband as well). However she never shows up and she says it is b/c her husband is not socialable. My husband made it a point to introduce his self to her husband to break the ice however they still do not show for gatherings.

I also noticed she really will not call to conversate when her husband is around. Then one friday evening she said that her husaband just met some of his co-workers and they were going out to have drinks and she never extends invites to me and my husband. What do you think?

It sounds like your friend/associates is just making up excuses or her husband is a control freak and makes all the calls in their relationship.Maybe just pull that person aside and ask them did I do something wrong. Just an idea.

Maybe her husband abuses her and she doesn't want him to embarrass her in front of you guys. You never know it's probably not her fault. Maybe she is afraid of him maybe that's why she isn't socializing with you as much. Maybe she isn't happy.
