Question:

Is swallowing chlorine pool water harmful?

I was swimming today in a public pool doing laps and I accidently gulped down some pool water, not a lot but maybe a palmful. It was around 8:45 and I am fine, but I've heard that side effects can occur later...I was just wondering if it was bad for you.

  1. I don't think chlorine water will have any harm on you (not that small of an amount).  The only thing I would worry about is since you were in a public pool all the bacteria/germs that are in there.  That will get you sick before the chlorine would.

  2. No it wont do anything. Its better not to do it.

    I hope ur fine

  3. No that won't do anything i have a pool and i will occasionally get a little swig of it but as long as you don't drink a whole lot your good hope i helped good luck

  4. It isn't bad for you if you drank that much. I'm a swimmer and I do that all the time. If you didn't inhale it you should fine.
