Is the Canon FS100 any good?

someone said it was good for filming skating for under 400$ but are there any better ones for that price?

That camera is FANTASTIC. All you need to do is get at least a 2GB SD memory card and you have about 30 minutes of high resolution recording. If you want to upgrade it to the top model, it'll cost you $600 total and it comes with a built-in 16GB of memory.

(2GB memory is about $20-$30)
