Is the battle royale act real?I recently watched the film and wondered if it is real or ever was thanx

  1. it's common practice in japan yes.

I highly doubt this ever happen.  The movie was time set about WWII time (around 1945) pretty much the nation collapsed when students protested school and grown ups lost jobs.  They lost confidence and start to fear the kids that's how all of this happen.  I don't think adults in the past give kids weapons to kill others.  I'm pretty sure if this happen now in days the rest of the world will know.  So don't worry this isn't real, it's like the survive of the fit kind of act.  This doesn't mean something like this haven't happen or would happen.  It just mean this isn't based on a true story it's based on a novel which is made up.

  3. Along time ago similar things were done like gladiator tournaments etc. Nothing like that exists today though.
