Is there a meaning of life?

People always ask what is the "meaning of life"? I'm wondering if there is one at all. If there is, human life has been going on for a long time you think we would have found the answer, guess not. So, with everybody one Earth and everybody who ever lived, not one has ever found the meaning?

Yes. Life has the meaning you give it.

But if you really think about it, we were put onto the world to reproduce, and if nobody does humans will die out eventually.

But apart from that the rest of the meaning is up to the one that asks it.

i don't think there is one.

so the best thing you can do is just try to be happy and shield yourself from bad things. cram in as much joy as you can. both short- and long-term.

if it would make you happy to feel that life has a meaning, or the idea that it is meaningless is a source of pain to you--make one up. maybe join a religion, they tend to assign life a meaning.
