Is there a minor surgery?

i recently broke my nose and there are two fractures in it. i got a cat scan and everything that's how i know. cosmetic surgery was suggested by my doctor but i'm only a junior in high school and i want to wait another two years for that. is there any minor surgery to fix the fractures or maybe make it look better? thanks

You'll need to have the surgery suggested by your doctor to repair the fractures. You can wait, but it won't get any better and you may notice problems with your breathing when you exercise or sleep. If you get a cold, you may notice significantly more difficulty moving air through your nose especially when you exercise. I know this because I too had fractured my nose in high school several times playing sports but put it off getting it repaired for many years. As a nurse I should know better, I suppose. The surgery, called a rhinoplasty if they just work on your nose or a septorhinoplasty if they need to work on the part that separates your nose into right and left sides. You can have it done with conscioius sedation, where you are basically and pleasantly out of it but not completely asleep, or with general anesthesia.

That's why the cosmetic surgery was suggested.

If you want to make your nose look better, then the cosmetic surgery would be the option.
