Is this a fuse problem?

We have a 98 Mercury Mystique, 4 cyl. About a month ago, our alternator went completly dead and we had to wait 2 weeks until we replaced our alternator. The car basically was charged by battery power. The alternator has been replaced and our vehicle is fine. The only problem is we have no dome lights, our mirrors would not adjust as they are powered and no stereo. A friend of ours believes it is a fuse that we can be replaced, but I dont understand why all of them would not work.Is it something more serious? I don't want to be paying more money out for repairs..

  1. Sounds to me like it could be a fuse. Generally the mirrors, interior lights and radio memory are all on the same fuse. The fuse could have blown just by disconnecting the battery and re-connecting it. It happens.

  2. it is probably going to be a fuse. check owners Manuel for location of fuse block and fuse.
