would you agree that malkin is starting to look like Alexandre Daigle. he has been non existant the last 2 series. all hyped up with no place to go

2 series??Perhaps you forgot that Shortie in Game 2 against the Flyers that was an absolute backbreaker?19 points in the Playoffs so far.4 PP goals too..When I think Geno I DO NOT think Alex the actor.Unless you meant last 2 games?

Daigle was never good in the playoffs, but he wasn't very jaw dropping in the regular season.  Nope.  Bad comparison, but I like your point...Malkin has been stinking...with maybe no desire to play.  ;)

All I know is that Malkin had a big hand in the Flyers making tee times.

Malkin is a young European player who has never played this long a schedule. His longest year before he came to the NHL was 2005-06 when he played 77 games. That is a normal year for most North American raised juniors. This year he is now hearing 100 games. He is running out of gas. He will be stronger in future years and will in time make this question unthinkable.

It is much too early in Malkin's career to compare him to Daigle.  Even so, he has put up better numbers in both of his first two NHL seasons than Daigle put up in ANY one of the 9 seasons Daigle played in the NHL.  Not only is this question premature, it's not even close to true no matter how you dissect Malkin's season.
