Is this a good idea...?

My birthday has just been and i got 120 pounds altogether from cards, i want to get an electric guitar and learn how to play, ive been looking about on online music stores and on ebay and the price rangs are roughly 70-90 pounds and most of the include everything i need really dvd on how to play, guitar, amp, tuner etc or should i spend my money on something else, am i wasting my money or should i just get one, i do want one but should i?

these beginner kits are alright but they're very low quality. i would get a better guitar, save up for a good amp, and teach myself. there is enough material online to start.  take a look at ulitmateguitar.com
