Is this a good mob background?

So i'm writing a book about like mafia wars. A bit like the godfathers. So, the story takes place in Boston and 3 groups of mobsters are trying to take over the city. The Russian mob, the Irish mob, and the Italian mob. Is this an okay setup for the book?

Irish mob way out out of the picture try a different kind of mob

Try a Latino mob group may Puerto Rican or even Mexican mob, since alot of Mexicans are moving in now. The Mexican mob could be the new antagonist trying to take over the territory of the established Russians and Italians.
