  1. well it depend on the horses quality.ad where u are in the world.prices vary

  2. it sounds really good

  3. sounds very reasonable to me!  However, i'm assuming that you're just paying $175 to ride and the owner takes care of expenses.  If you are paying for the horse's care as well as a fee to "lease" him, then you should look around for another deal.

Leasing is a good option for those who can't buy!

  4. It sounds really good, but is that just for the horse? Or do you have to clean up after it?

  5. It really depends on what expenses your in charge of: do you just pay board? Or do you also pay for vet, farrier, other bills? If the owners take care of some of the expenses, then $175 is a good price. If your paying ALL expenses on the horse, then I wouldn't pay $175/mo in addition. It's still not a bad price, but there are many "free lease" horses available (meaning you pay all expenses on the horse, but no additional money goes to the owner). You and the owners should write up a contract and pay close attention to what's included.

  6. i leased a quarter horse for only $100 a month

however he was about 22 and had arthritis in his back legs

for a horse like that it was a really good price

edit: we just payed to ride and take care of him.  we didnt pay for board or farrier or vet bills.  i bought stuff for him but thats the most i ever payed other than the $100 lease fee
