  1. Probably just a result of your anxiety. Could also be possible damage to  the cerebral cortex of your left hemisphere causing some mix ups in your speech. Although it is probably the former because if it was a brain damage issue you wouldn't notice that you were doing anything wrong. You do notice that you are making the mistake so it is probably either your anxiety, or the medication treating your anxiety and ocd that is causing the problem.  Take it easy on yourself, nobody judges you as harshly as you judge yourself.

  2. I have been doing this for 30 some years.  I laugh when I do it because it sounds so funny.  Relax!

  3. Sounds like brain damage to me.

  4. No it's not.

I do that all the time.

And I'm not an idiot.  I'm just not good at language.  I'm more of a #'s person.

It hasn't affected me in any way though.  Got good grades, graduated early, and I have a good job now.

  5. It isn't a mental disorder to mix up words.  It isn't some form of dyslexia.  Mixing up spoken words happens all the time to most people.  Sometimes people get excited about something they have to say, and they think faster than they can talk, so their words get jumbled up.  Other times, people are a bit anxious when they are talking with someone, and that may make words come out wrong.  You shouldn't feel embarrassed - 1) even if you mix up words, people will still know what you meant to say, and 2) everyone does it.  I've seen newscasters do that live on air in big cities!  How embarrassed do you think THEY feel?!
