It doesn't look real to me, it looks like all the parts are too close. What do you think?

  1. Its a photoshop special. Looks like a 737 with a MD 11 tail section grafted on.

  2. Such a joke the tail would fall over in the back like tip backwords

  3. yes it actually is

  4. Look at the windows, follow it accross to the left untill you see a smaller window then look veritcally at that point you will see a slight bump on the plane. It's a fake.

  5. The tail and tail engine section are from a DC-10/MD-11 (I used to build them). It's been cropped to the front section of something else, with the center section left out, to make it look shorter.

  6. No.  Air Liberte operated Boeing 737-200s, MD-83s and DC-10s.  These are all stretched fuselage versions of the original airframes, except the DC-10.

If I had to guess, I'd say someone put together an excellent spoof picture to commemorate Liberte's financial distress of the late 90s - there are going to be some cutbacks.  The plane in the picture is - or was cut and pasted from - a DC-10, which is the only plane in Liberte's fleet that had two wing engines and another in the tail.

  7. well for starters look at the angle of the rear tail engine...its totaly wrongup at the front, down at the rear....if it was real it would flip strait away...

  8. It's a photoshop fabrication. Not bad work either.

  9. It has to be a joke but Its very funny .

  10. I age with Dennis. Its a photo shop job and 737 fuselage with a MD 11 tail section grafted on.The fuselage is too short.

  11. photoshop. Looks kind of like an altered MD-11.

  12. It's a joke.

  13. Spoof aircraft

  14. Welcome to AirLiberte, drinks will not be served b/c we're all going to get sucked into that giant engine. Enjoy your flight.

  15. Yeah, this is the prototype for the Ilyushin "Frog" plane. It is designed to leap off the runway like a frog and carry the 30 passengers 72 miles on an average before landing. The over-sized tail and third engine are the secret that enables the jetliner to "leap frog" over other airliners. There are some design and operational issues being worked out at this time.

  16. i've seen planes like that, but not exactly the same, taking off and landing at airports. the thing that tweaks my curiosity about the picture of the plane you show us...

The door is ON THE WING. Hence it has to be a fake.

  17. Definitely Photoshop of an Boeing 737 model.

  18. This photo is made up.  Everything is out of proportion.  The tail section is almost as big as the wing.  The engines photos were taken relatively close to a DC10.  The photo of the fuselage was taken from a greater distance.

  19. No,look at the lenght of the shadow.

  20. these aircraft are photoshoped

They are digitally altered. They are in reality much longer. The guy probably "cut" off a big section and pieced the front and the back together. I doubt he used the front of a 737 because the size differences in those two aircraft are huge. The 737s nose would be much closer to the ground too. (if he zoomed the 737 pic to make it the same size, the picture quality difference would've been obvious)

In reality, they are either MD11s or DC-10s

MD11 and DC10 (and the Lockheed-1011)are 60/70s jumbo jets (multiple aisles, I believe their seat configuration is 3X4X3) with three engines. the engine in the tail is normal. They were designed to have three engines to save fuel. (Most other jumbos of that era have 4)

Everything is out of proportion and if ever it did takeoff, the airplane would have a huge center of weight issue and will pitch up to finally flip over due to the weight of the engines in the back.

Here is a real pic of a Air Liberte DC10

  21. no dude they are real i have been of one when going to spain

  22. it is photoshopped.( why?] note the red strip in front of the wing. that it is somewhat hazy at the wing root, that would be normal but whz the h**l is it hazy along the engine intake? the only reason for it is mounting the wing section on a different hull and then blending and blending....

  23. There is definitely something wrong with that plane... must be some boring person with photo shop

  24. its fake why would the second door be over the wing you would have to climb up the wing just to get in or climb down to get out lol dont get sucked in
