Is this a tacky phrase?

I am currently addressing this e-mail to my co-workers and it sounds a bit tacky. Is there a way I can improve the phrasing?

"I have left in June for university this year so I am offering..."

flows a bit better, is more linear, (time-line wise) and should be a lot less awkward.
