Is this a urinary tract infection?

Question

My ma said u can only get them when u r having s*x

but im 14 and a virgin-yeah i no thats kinda sad!

but anyway

it hurts when i pee

and i feel like ive had to go to the bathroom all day

but like then like i cant go pee

idk if i should be worried

This could be UTI or urinary tract infection. Please remember that having s*x is not the only way of contacting this. This can also spread by using or sharing clothes of a person suffering with this infection. Well drink plenty of fluids mainly plain water and contact your General Practitioner if the problem persists.

It sounds like a urinary tract infection to me.  Just having s*x isn't the only reason you might get a urinary infection.  You need to go to the doc and get meds.

Your mom is wrong. You can get a urinary tract infection if you're a virgin, and it sounds like you have one. You should go to the doctor.

It does sound like a urinary infection. You can get an infection from bacteria especially if you wipe from back to front when you go to the toilet. Tell your mum to take you to the doctors you need an antibiotic
