My parents say I can't use the computer after 10.30pm. I'm 22 by the way!!

woah. wot a situation. too expensive to get your own pad but too grown up to be treated like a child.

Can you sit down calmly and rationalise with them?  ask them whats the problem with using it after 10.30pm if you're not loud and disturbing them where is the harm?

Sounds like they need help in learning to accept your an adult now, show them by asserting yourself in a respectful but firm way.

Not easy breaking those strings but needs to be done even if you are still living with them.

I'm so sorry and that is really messed up! at least you have  someone that cares enough to care. most parents really dont give a c**p. work to set your own self up in life if you can. good luck.

It's fair....but fair or unfair is not the issue here!

Adult children living at home need to follow house rules.  If you don't like the rules, get your own place and make your own rules!
