Question:

Is this hypocritical behaviour?

Whenever I get upset, at my period, even if something unpleasant has happened, my mum starts talking about taking me to a women's clinic, even though she has been reacting more violently, than me, to small things. She claims she reacts that way, because I "trigger it", yet it might be just that I'm complaining about something. Is this a form of abuse? Why is she so quick to get rid of my sadness and reactions to life, or she hopes to, yet she claims she's okay?

  1. She is tied up with her own issues.  That she could suggest taking you to a women's clinic is probably her best at being sensitive to you.  She wants to dismiss your sadness because she wants to stay with her own.  Get away from her when it is possible.  Some people think others complaints in life as something to stomp out or keep quiet.  Their own, however, you might hear for the rest of your life.
