Is this illegal? please read!

Question

I am making a website for myspace layouts and graphics. Not being very familiar with html/css, I was wondering if it's ok to use a websites layout generator for my myspace layouts. I would be making my own graphics and such. I just don't know how to code my own myspace layotus. WAY too confusing but im gonna learn. Would that be ok as long as i left credit under the credits section saying who and what website coded the layout? thanks

I would venture to say that the layouts produced by a layout generator are so very basic that it should be no big deal at all. I would, however, suggest learning a litte bit of HTML and CSS (which is actually kinda fun, really not that hard, and VERY rewarding) and then at least modifying the layout codes quite a bit to make them pretty much your own. Kinda like just using the original code as a map, and doing your own thing with it.

Well, as far as making any type of money goes, It would be illegal to sell your layout. But, if your just giving them away, sure it would be fine. Give major credit to the layout generator though. And i mean MAJOR. Theres nothing truly illegal about it. But all of your layouts will probably have "Layout generated by" on them. So people will know theyre not your layouts.

In short, Dont try to make a profit and go ahead.
