Is this positive or not?

hey everybody, i have just done two pregnancy tests (the strips), i did one and saw the faintest line ever when i hold it next to a white surface so i did another and its the same, i cant really tell in artificial light but in daylight i can see it more clear or if i hold it upto the window, im just wondering can i see it like this because its a strip and obviously it isnt cased and you can see a slight grouve where the positive mark should be, i think, or is this the start of something, i would probably be only about 4 weeks so it would be really early, what does anyone think?

If you were able to see anything after the required amount of time, then that's a positive.  The early you take it in your pregnancy, then the fainter the line may be because you don't have a lot of the Hcg hormone yet.  I would say you're probably pregnant.  Wait another week (or even just a few more days) and take another test first thing in the morning.  Good luck!

It IS possible to get a false positive but not very likely.

My positive test was quite faint but I could tell it was meant to be there. A few months before, I did a test and it came out sort of like what you are describing. If I held it at the right angle I could see a very faint line...it was not really a positive unless I had a miscarriage at the time my period was due.

I know it's not really much help but best thing is wait a few days and test again. If your anything like me, you'll prob go and buy about 5 tests and test everyday or even twice a day lol....maybe try a different brand... you could do a digital one at least that's pretty clear...no guess work

Mine was very faint but as the earlier reply says you dont get a false positive...Congratulations x

Take care of yourself.. there is a very big chance of your "LFP" truning out to a BFP.... something similar happened to me... and I know it is very very difficult but try to wait a few days and test again... in fact what my Gyn told was that if you are TTC and two days late on your periods... you have to see a doc.. they get you to do blood tests to confirm pregnancy (Serum hCG)... take care.. I think it's going to be good news .  All the best to you

same thing happened to me.. I could barely see it but if its there at all your prego, theres no false positive! Congrats! I was only 3 weeks and 5 days when i found out
