Is this relationship over or what?

My guy friend, who things got fuzzy with, said we shouldn't talk or hang out for awhile, and that it makes sense for both of us to do that. (This was after i drunkly told him i liked him as more then friends, which was brought on by us drunkly hooking up ) It's been over 2 months. We exchanged a quick IM once in that time period. Is this friendship dead forever?

i guess the only answer i can give is that only time will tell in this situation.  if it ends, then maybe it wasnt really as true of a friendship as what you thought it was.

Sounds like He's probably a little bit confused and just wanted to cool off your communication to each other just for short period of time and perhaps He is also thinking and trying to decide whether you can still be friends or more than friends. Hang in there.

Maybe not.  My friend and her..."friend" hooked up for a pretty long time, then he ignored her for 3 monthes and then after a while he started texting and talking to her again.  He's kind of a jerk.  Either way, now they're hooking up again like it never happened, so i guess theres always hope :)

Well, I know when i have said that to someone it has meant one of a few things. 1. I really don't want to hang out with them anymore and that's just my nice way of saying it. 2. I think it's best for both people for whatever reason to have some time apart. Or 3. I really don't want time apart at all but I'm too nervous to do what I really want. I guess you'll just have to tell him that you'll give him all the time he needs and when or if he still wants to be freinds with you to give you a call.

Well it seems like your friendship has gone sour. But I don't think it should really make a big deal. I mean sh'it happens when you drink and I think you guys should just get past that and move on as friends again.

been there done the exact same thing.

except he admitted he was in love with me for the past 2 years.

i was SHOCKED and i didnt know how to act around him anymore because i knew he liked me and it made things awkward but over time you move on. DONT GIVE UP, keep exchanging "heys" and all that because h**l get used to the fact that you said you liked him. if you want to take what you said back, even if you do like him, then just say "the booze got to me, i have no idea what i was talking about"

i really hope you guys can still be friends.
