  1. She's backing up.

She has to wait on other traffic, before she can proceed.

So, she was in the wrong. The drivers in the other vehicles had the right of way.

She needs to deal, by knowing the rules of driving.

  2. Weather you are right or wrong backing up, you should not have to listen to that kind of abuse. Write down the plate number and call the police.

  3. It is common courtesy for other drivers to stop for you when you are backing up.  Unfortunately common curtesy, isn't.  Everyone is in such a hurry now.  They are rude and crude.  The actual laws vary from state to state, and city to city.  Even so, there is never a cop around when you need one, besides, in most places, if you are backing out of a parking spot, you are on private property and they can't do anything anyway.

As far as what she should do, just be as careful as she can.  You still have to back up, but when someone starts yelling, let them yell.  Stay in your car with the windows up and the doors locked.  You are right, this is no joke, road rage never is.

  4. Really you should just let it go because it could get out of hand to the point that someone might get hurt, its just not worth it....

  5. She might should have stopped, kinda depends on how far back you were.  But either way it's just not that big a deal.

Regardless of "right of way", there's just no excuse for the kind of rudeness you were subjected to.

I'm embarassed by it and I wasn't even there!
