right now, i have an Xbox, ps2, Nintendo Wii all hooked up to one of those audio/video selectors that change the channel to the system i am using, the a/v selector is hooked up to my LCD tv. i have a computer and computer desk that is just taking up too much room in my room. My LCD tv has a pc hookup where i could hook my cpu up to it and i was wondering, with all of the stuff hooked up to my tv. would it be safe to hook my CPU up to my tv or should i just leave everything alone b/c i really dont need to cause a fire b/c so much stuff was hooked to my tv?

  1. It's safe.  You are actually only using one thing at a time.  When you choose to play your Xbox, none of the others are turned on.  Same with everything else.  So yes, it should definitely be safe.

  2. Hook it up.

It can't start a fire without a spark.

  3. Having all these devices hooked up to our tv at once will not hurt it and is not dangerous.

What could get dangerous is having all of the electrical cords for each device running around and getting tangled up.  It may not hurt to only have the device that is being used to be plugged in to an electrical socket at one time.
