It's not a bad sub. But, you could get better for the money. The soundstream T-5 10" is better in my opinion.

Soundstream is a much more reputable company than JVC. They have a longer history in the competition grade audio market. And unlike JVC they tend to underrate their equipment.

It is 10" and puts out 1000RMS.

The peak being 3000, that means absolutely nothing, false numbers basically.

Look at RMS always.

That sub is not very good at all. Its a cheap sub and JVC does not make very good car audio stuff at all.

For a mild price, good quality and great durability with good sound, I recommend Alpine Type-R series. They come in 10, 12 and 15 inch woofers all dual voice coil 2 or 4-ohm choices.

yea thats a pretty good sub, you only need 1 of those because it puts out so much power, if i were you i would upgrade to the 12" sub because its not that much more and you'll get more power...but yea its a good sub..you gotta get an enclosure and an amp and s***. enjoy that s*** bro

THAT SUB IS OK FOR THE MONEY,IT CAN HANDLE A 800 WATT AMP WITH NO PROBLEM,IN A 12 OR BIGGER,BUT IF U LIKE GOOD HARD BASS U WOULD BE HAPPY WITH A 10 ANYDAY WITH A 600 WATT AMP.
