In Covington, LA, there going to build a brand new lifestyle center "mall", a brand new Wal Mart, a Sams Club and the Home Depot? It's near the Target Center.

Good grief, I can believe it as Wal Mart, Sams, and Home Depot is everywhere down there now. When I left Slidell they were completing yet more of them along the interstate corridor there. Seems they can't build enough of them. I remember Covington when it was barely anything but the parish seat. I guess after Katrina, and with the population explosion, those companies figure they can rake in the money big time. Sorry to hear it though.. no more small town now hey? To Pure D: Because there is no sub-category for the towns surrounding New Orleans and they are considered the Greater Metro Area

I don't know but they are of the same company except home depot. Walmart has become a empire.

They have been fighting against this for a while now. In Mandeville too. I think they need to build all of the above in both the new Covington site and in Mandeville.

I am so sick of fighting the traffic and the crowds in Slidell and Covington then having to stand in line for an hour. Since Katrina, with all the new people who have moved over here, we need more stores.

It seems they are trying to keep the Northshore "country" which it no longer is and hasn't been for quite some time now.
