Is this true or not?

They say that birthmarks are caused by unsatisfied wishes of the mother during pregnancy. For example, if a pregnant woman does not satisfy a sudden wish or craving for strawberries, it's said that the infant might bear a strawberry mark. Is it true? Thanks

  6. no, there is no scientific basis, by ANY means, for that claim.

    Dont believe it at all.

  7. NO!

this is possibly the most stupid thing iv ever heard!

  8. Sounds like an old wives tale to me.  I would think that would be nearly impossible to prove scientifically.

  9. um no. i ate lots of strawberries whenever i felt like it and my daughter has a strawberry mark

  10. Strawberry birthmarks are actually bright red and it kinda sticks out of the skin and looks a bit like strawberry and that's is the only reason why it's called strawberry lol It's basically a group of blood vessels together at one place, but no one really knows what causes them to group in such manner.

  11. No its not true. A woman at work told me not to touch my belly, as if I was scared or worried about something, it would be reflected on the baby as a birthmark and proceeded to tell me about how when she was pregnant she was jumped on by her dog which scared her and she grabbed her tummy - and now her daughter has a paw print birthmark on the back of her child's head.

It's a load of twaddle if you ask me.

  12. No, that's not true, but it's a cute story.

One of my kids has an angel's kiss birthmark on the side of her nose...I wonder what I would have had to be craving for her to end up with that :D
