Is it like golden gate park, where it never closes? Or are there areas you can only go to at day? I was planning on checking out the view of san francisco. Is there a place where I can park and walk?

  1. Shibi is right. And Golden Gate Park does close, officially at least..

  2. They don't "close" Treasure Island, per se.  It's a neighborhood more than a "park" or "rec area." People live there.  Google Map it and look for a good place to look at the city.

  3. I believe Treasure Island is a slightly run-down residential area where a lot of college students live.  I read it is a dangerous place to live because of earthquake liquification.  I also read that developers want to purchase the land for hotels and resorts.  There's a lot of interesting history about Treasure Island on the internet.

  4. no it where people live so it never closes. when you take the bay bridge to get there the first exit will give you an incrediable view of sf

as for golden gate closing at night that's not true the park doesn't close but CERTAIN PARTS OF IT do close like the botanical gardens etc..but the park itself doesn't close (grew up on 9th and irving. directly across from the park)
