Is vatican worth to see?

I ll be in rome 1 month or so. is vatican really worth seeing, or should i see places were young people hang out instead?

ps: I love history, but more interested in 'people'

  3. If you appreciate true ART then you must see the Sistine Chapel.  St. Peter's Basilica is absolutely amazing as well.  My favorite part of Rome was Vatican City.

  4. nah, why would you an to see works of Michelangelo, DaVinci, and countless others, why would you want to see the Sistine Chapel, why waste time to see Pieta ? why see sculpture of David in the Chapel, why see the Basilica, when you can hang out... total waste of time...

  5. totally worth the visit and there are tons of people that hang out there in line and outside in the sqaure to. Just remember you must have your knees and shoulders covered to get in and you need to get there early in the morning because the line for the museam gettings really long and you cant buy tickets in advance.

  6. Yes, it is a marvel of creation, and a very beautiful place to spend a day.  The artwork alone is worth the trip.

  7. YES.  I'm not religious nor am I into art stuff...but of all the sites I saw in Italy, I have to say the Vatican impressed me the most...not enough to make me go to a Catholic church...but I was completely awestruck by the magnificent Basillica, chapels, artwork...

    I'm not into religious stuff or architectural feats...but the Vatican is one location I would recommend everyone visit.

  10. Worth to see even if you aren't Christian.... and if you are interested in people then the Vatican is for you. It get millions of visitors each year.
