yeah, but not all that happy.  and not because kyle didn't win, but because someone put a camera in front of him again without proper supervision (look whose fan is talking, right?).  a story i read last night says that denny managed to win a few hundred dollars from kyle busch and from michael waltrip about whether or not logano would finish in the top seven or not.

those kind of things shouldn't be broadcast on national tv from victory lane, much less done by the participants. bottom line, it sounds like amongst new teammates, kyle bet logano wouldn't finish in the top seven and denny bet he would.- insta-tension.  and in other post-race interviews he was more arrogant than he deserved to be, talking about how they essentially were able to coast to victory... yeah, in the car rowdy piloted to victory twice this year and with rowdy (and keselowski for all intents and purposes) out of the race.

either he's trying to be kyle and not doing it so well (i've never heard kyle say he coasted to victory, even when he does - i could be wrong here), and/or he is trying to be joey's new bestest friend - outing the bet between he and kyle about how their new teammate would do - and denny won.  not "joey did well" but "i won the bet."

but he did run a clean race, even letting keselowski by him early on, giving him plenty of room on the inside to pass. he had the best car (once brad and kyle bumped, and then definitely once leffler and rowdy bumped) and he piloted it home pretty flawlessly.  he deserved the win...give or take...

I love all of the Gibs guys. They are cocky and arrogant, just like the old days of racing. Watch some of the DW, Rusty Wallace, and Dale Sr post race interviews. It is great to see such passion for racing and WINNING again. I am very happy any time the Gibs guys finish on top.

I dont think Denny is as likable as he used to be.  With a few lashing out episodes, he may have hurt his overall approval rating.  But he is racing with two other hot tempered guys on his team, so he has taken on the either "love him, or hate him" fans...  You wont see the appreciation  for him that you would see if a good old boy won (Martin).

Yes I am. I am VERY happy for Denny. He raced hard and clean and deserved to win the race. He might not have had the fastest car but it does not matter he still won. Some people might not be happy that Denny won but good for them. The point is Denny won and there is nothing anyone can say or do to change that.
