Isn't taking the train rubbish?

Yep i agree with you after 2 years of catching them to college and home I don't really wanna go back on one in a hurry especially when the last couple were that delayed i was late for my exams.

it depends on  what cities pairs you are talking about

like from Los Angeles, to San Diego its only 1 train

same from Los Angeles to Seattle, again 1 train

only if you have to go though Chicago then it would be

two trains who told you it was 6?

and a lot of people find train travel enjoyable

know why? you dont have to fight the traffic no red lights

and you  can sleep (trying sleeping while driving)

Taking a train in Scotland is an experience I wouldn't wish unto anybody , no wonder people use cars

try taking a train in Europe its much better. I'd recommend Vienna to Zagreb. There's scenery like you can't imagine, a restaurant car and a full pint of beer is cheaper than in a British pub. Plus you will have visited two of the nicest cities in Europe.

what does your train ticket cost ? I'm in Wisconsin , the train is not a option , I would love to pay for a cheap train ticket instead of $50 a week for gas . and all the wear and tear on my car
