How many years ago american and german soldiers killed and mistreated one another because i just watched a movie on hallmark and it was very sad what happened to the germans!

Isn't it much sader that the American government deports and keeps people in prison without legal accusation, like at Guantamo? Isn't the American president of Christian belief? Doesn't he know it's christmas soon?

All I can say to you all is Bush may be president here but his time is near done and that is one thankful thing about our style's of Government we all can vote a jerk in but next term it could be an even bigger one or maybe a descent one. See what I mean?

The Governments in my eyes have never reflected the wishes of the people anywhere in my opinion. Not here in the US or any place over seas. I love going to Germany and have lived there and travel every year there.

It was sad what happened but not to just Germans, it was sad to the whole world I think for it was a war fought on the failings of the first world war which makes it even sadder. Two generations killing each other for what in the end? Ideology?

I hope most of you here who are  Germans understand what I am saying. We cannot control our leaders as you cannot more than voting them out when their term is up. Impeachment is a very hard thing to accomplish, I do not think most Americans would disagree with you but just remember it is Bush & his people, not the whole country. A chillingly familiar story is it not? Lucky his term ends soon and cannot stay in power for ever.

We could have had worst in some ways, we did have to do something about 9-11 I am sure you all agree but how it was handled is the problem now,9-11 cannot be used as a catalyst for invasion of every country you see as a terrorist nation. It was only ok for the Taliban and Afghanistan I say. The problem is the mess is already made and what and how do you correct it? The damage is done how does one repair or fix it properly I ask? I certainly do not know. I think Bush got in over his head and let his advisors think to much for him and now he has his hands tied in a knot he created by not thinking for himself in the early days. Now he can not undo what is done. We either stay and finish the job or if not we leave them in chaos? What does one do?

I hope you see the perdicament of the people here and who knows who our next president will be, it could be Clinton, Obama, McCain, Guiliani. There is no way of knowing so until we do it is hard to say which way our Government not the Nation will go. They are rarely on the same path if you understand what I mean.

I hope that explains from an American view but also not a supporter of what is going on either. I support my country but not always my Government.
