It has power but won't work!

Question

It was working perfectly and all of a sudden a loud noise, and powered off. Now when I turn it on the mute sign flickers a couple of times and turns off. It is not the fuse because it has power, but I don't seem to get anywhere. Help!I have a Kenwood Receiver KRV5580. It was working alright but all of a sudden the display does not show up on powering up. The power is on but the 'Muting' indicator blinks for sometime and nothing seems to work. Please help ASAP!
