Itunes and ipod help...help!!! ?

Question

When i plug my ipod in itunes dosnet realise its there and when i want to buy a song and download it it dosent show the songs that are in my ipod it only shows ones that ive bought and cant get onto my ipod!

i really dont understand SYNCing ipods at all

im afraid ill wipe y ipod clean and pay for all my songs again i have a party coming up this weekend and i need this ipod there

another thing is my ipod wont charge it dosent realize its plugged in!

and by the way i have a 3rd generation nano

so you have an Iphone AND an Ipod nano? if that's the case, you will need to figure out how to sync the 2 players into the same Itunes. it shouldn't be giving you this problem, but if you can't find your answer here, i'd contact apple, they're fast and v. helpful (http://www.apple.com/support/)

if it's only the nano, and it's giving you problems, then it's probably defective and is just not being recognized by your computer/Itunes in which case you'd need it to be checked by s/1 at the apple store wherever you live....
