It´s not weird... it depends how you get prepare to the fight and how the opponent´s strategy does.... Wanderlei Silva knock out Rampage twice... and lost against Liddell...

Sometimes a punch get in right... for example if Wanderlei Silva didn´t get the hard punch in Jardine.. Jardine could win ´cause wanderlei will get tired...

I think when the fighters habilities is too close the train the strategic and the is what count in!!

It's called MMATH, and it doesn't work.

The iceman beat Wanderlei, Wanderlei beat Jardine, and Jardine beat the iceman.

it only shows that all fighters have a chance to win.

I don't know what happened either.  I cried for Rampage.  Freaking Forrest Griffin beat him?  What is this world coming to?  Next thing you know, some lightweight kid is going to be knocking out Diego Sanchez (whom I love and adore with all my Nerdy heart).

don't ever mention that fight again!!!  Rampage was at a 13-5 favorite and when it comes to fighting, Never bet on the white guy!!!!  Guess how much I lost=P

Really, why?  Nobody has a bigger heart in the UFC than Forrest and you dont teach heart

Besides, people just have certain  others numbers.  I.e. Liddell can't beat rampage, franklin can't beat silva, shamrock cant beat ortiz, ortiz can't beat Liddell

THE ONLY REASON RAMPAGE BEAT CHUCK THE ICEMAN IS CHUCK WAS GOING FOR A BODY SHOT AND LEFT HIMSELF WIDE OPEN.  

GRIFFEN ON THE OTHER HAND PUNCHED AND PULLED BACK SO HE WOULDN'T GET CAUGHT UP IN SOMETHING LIKE CHUCK DID.  ALSO CHUCK DOESN'T UTILIZE HIS LEG KICKS LIKE FORREST DID!

Well it is debatable whether or not he actually lost to Forrest. And it wasn't a lucky shot against Liddell because he thouroughly dominiated him the first time they fought.

Forrest is a good fighter and is capable of beating anyone however I think it he fights Rampage 10 time he is going to lose more then he wins.

I think he had a lucky shot in on the ICEMAN, granted Rampage is a great fighter but he is a wild fighter which will get them into trouble. Another thing is Griffin is a great fighter, he has endurance and doesnt gas out easily not only that he has an iron chin. He can take punches most other cant and gives them back ten fold. He also fights smart and controlled which led to his win.

Forrest is strong. That is what I have been trying to tell my hubby. I am glad he beat Rampage! Rampage is too cocky and ful of himself. Forrest Griffin is humble, and I think he really suprised himself by the win.

Griffin and Liddell are two different types of fighters... Forrest is way more well rounded than Chuck Liddell, and Liddell only relies on his knockout power which Rampage can clearly counter. Forrest has more aspects to his game therefore he has more tools to use against Rampage and beat him which he did. Yeah on paper it looks like Rampage should've won, but you can't count out fighters like Forrest.

I think it goes to show you that know one is the best. Everyone in the LHW class has someone else's number.

Example: Jardine beat Iceman who beat Wandy who beat Jardine Henderson beat Wandy but lost to Rampage, Wandy beat Rampage twice

MMAfan69 has the best answer. mma is vary confusing. there is no undisputed champ, except for fedor and anderson silvia, but those to fighter will get beat sooner or later.

oh yeah, rampage was not lucky in the ice man fight. he saw an opening when chuck went for the body shot, and rampage took it. that's called being prepared and having the ability to time one's punches.

Jackson looked tired or somethinig, he hardly did anything the whole fight. Forrest just held him down pretty much the whole time... it was a crappy fight, but at least I was drunk by then
