Janome 8000 on but witout functioning

Question

I was given a Janome 8000 four years ago for Christmas. When I turn it on the LCD panel comes on but can not touch any functions to make them work. It will straight stitch but unable to change settings on it. Called dealer where it was purchased, told unable to get parts for this model anymore. Any ideas on what the problem is and if there is any place I can get parts for it.
