Japan/Canada social help???

I'm doing a social project on why Japan's isolation would be a good idea for Canada. For example, how Canada's economy would be boosted from an isolation policy. I am doing the economy aspect. Any ideas?

Canada would  be very hurt by isolation....Japan was isolated  until the 17th century./.the  British  then  invaded them...Or are you talking about their  growth from  1949....I believe they were given  trade privileges,this and  their work ethic enabled them  to  be where they are today
