Jaw surgery? questions?

im getting jaw surgery in october and i have a choice to get it or not and i want to but im scared....like if something happened if they made a mistake , but this is a really good surgeon and shes done many surgerys for the jaw but what im asking is if anyone reading this has had jaw surgery can info me in like after the surgery...did anything happen like ur swelling didnt go away? or how long did it take for swelling to go away? what did you eat after the surgery? how bad does it hurt after the surgery? do you have any complications with your jaw ever since you got the surgery? did you ever regret getting the surgery?if you dont mind, maybe some pictures would help me?

sorry theres so many questions...im just a 15 yr old who needs a second oppinion on the surgery :]

umm theres a few jaw surgeries thats could be done. but can u clarify the type u r recieving so we are able to help u a lil more.

what is your  problem, just like that or is it necessary? Lower or upper? Lower jaw surgery will cause numbness of your lips through out your life. What every you eat will spill out & you will not know whats stuck to your lower lips & will cause ebarisment. Think it twice & consult other doctors to see if it is a must. All the best.
