Jeans to an interview?

Question

i just got called back for a job at a massage therapy office, and the guy said that i could either go today, or monday.....i dont think ill get the job because i asked him "do i have to dress up, because i dont have dress up clothes.?" and he paused then said "no not really, this is a laid back environment," what should i do should i call and post pone it for monday and try to buy some interview attire over the weekend or should i just go in jeans and a shirt and some shoes....

don't wear jeans or casual clothes to an interview.  you want to look your very best (you're selling yourself as a good job candidate).  at the interview you can ask what the dress code is. dress pants, dress, or suit is best for the initial interview.

borrow something from someone. or go to a thrift store. its not hard to find cheap slacks and a blouse. if you have old dress up shoes that are scuffed, take a permanent marker, black of course, or whatever color they are, and fix them up, quick way to save you like 50 bucks on shoes.

Never wear jeans to an interview.  If you want the respect of the company and the employer, you should always look your absolute best.  A suit is great - even for a clerk position interview, if you don't have one then at least dress in a professional manner.  For women it's a skirt or dress and heels, for a man, it's dress pants and sports coat & tie.  Keep those shoes looking nice!   You want the interviewer to remember you for the good things, not "that person who showed up in jeans"

No=better safe than sorry -go with black ,grey or brown outfit.(slacks)or skirt- nuetral colors are a safe bet-nothing yellow- orange- red -purple-ya know.

Wearing jeans to an interview is a sure-fire way to get rejected.

At least wear a nice blouse and slacks,  but definitely leave your casuals at home.
