  2. It would be better to talk directly to a person...call your local Kingdom Hall or ask one that you know to come on over and have a chat...When you have had enough tell them that you appreciate that they took the time to talk with you. And that if you have any other questions you will call them...And if you do have more questions they will come back and speak with you.

Don't think you will hurt their feelings if you ask them to leave. Just do it in a nice way.

And you will feel better about calling them if they leave promptly when you ask.

Note To :ad victorian...now you know that Jesus was an infant sent to earth to be raised by Mary......Who do you think was running the Universe while he was an infant?

Jesus is the son of God....Mary is not the Mother of God because God had no beginning and has no end.....Jesus was created as an angelic , beloved son of God.

Mary was the human mother of Jesus not of Jehovah.

Jesus never thought he was equal to God...in fact he reprimanded Satan by saying it is to Jehovah alone we render sacred service.

Added Note: The Bible is written to the Holy Ones, The Little Flock. These are the ones that go to heaven to rule with Jesus Christ. It was not written to us but we all benefit from it because of the teaching and it sets matters straight.

So when it says they will go to heaven it is talking to a select few.

Rev. 1:1-6 will tell you who the bible is written to.....the holy ones..the ones who will be kings and priests in the kingdom of Jehovah God.

What beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses set them apart as different from other religions?

    (1) Bible: Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, and instead of adhering to a creed based on human tradition, they hold to the Bible as the standard for all their beliefs.

    (2) God: They worship Jehovah as the only true God and freely speak to others about him and his loving purposes toward mankind. Anyone who publicly witnesses about Jehovah is usually identified as belonging to the one group—“Jehovah’s Witnesses.”

    (3) Jesus Christ: They believe, not that Jesus Christ is part of a Trinity, but that, as the Bible says, he is the Son of God, the first of God’s creations; that he had a prehuman existence and that his life was transferred from heaven to the womb of a virgin, Mary; that his perfect human life laid down in sacrifice makes possible salvation to eternal life for those who exercise faith; that Christ is actively ruling as King, with God-given authority over all the earth since 1914.

    (4) God’s Kingdom: They believe that God’s Kingdom is the only hope for mankind; that it is a real government; that it will soon destroy the present wicked system of things, including all human governments, and that it will produce a new system in which righteousness will prevail.

    (5) Heavenly life: They believe that 144,000 spirit-anointed Christians will share with Christ in his heavenly Kingdom, ruling as kings with him. They do not believe that heaven is the reward for everyone who is “good.”

    (6) The earth: They believe that God’s original purpose for the earth will be fulfilled; that the earth will be completely populated by worshipers of Jehovah and that these will be able to enjoy eternal life in human perfection; that even the dead will be raised to an opportunity to share in these blessings.

    (7) Death: They believe that the dead are conscious of absolutely nothing; that they are experiencing neither pain nor pleasure in some spirit realm; that they do not exist except in God’s memory, so hope for their future life lies in a resurrection from the dead.

    (8) Last days: They believe that we are living now, since 1914, in the last days of this wicked system of things; that some who saw the events of 1914 will also see the complete destruction of the present wicked world; that lovers of righteousness will survive into a cleansed earth.

    (9) Separate from the world: They earnestly endeavor to be no part of the world, as Jesus said would be true of his followers. They show genuine Christian love for their neighbors, but they do not share in the politics or the wars of any nation. They provide for the material needs of their families but shun the world’s avid pursuit of material things and personal fame and its excessive indulgence in pleasure.

    (10) Apply Bible counsel: They believe that it is important to apply the counsel of God’s Word in everyday life now—at home, in school, in business, in their congregation. Regardless of a person’s past way of life, he may become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses if he abandons practices condemned by God’s Word and applies its godly counsel. But if anyone thereafter makes a practice of adultery, fornication, homosexuality, drug abuse, drunkenness, lying, or stealing, he will be disfellowshipped from the organization.

The above list briefly states some outstanding beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses but by no means all the points on which their beliefs are different from those of other groups.

It is not possible here to cover all the beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses, but we invite you to obtain further information.

For further information & learn more - you may wish to get in touch with Jehovah's Witnesses at the local Kingdom Hall. Or: through their official web site - <watchtower.org>

  5. They're Christians too

  6. I am Catholic but have alot of neighbors who are Jehovah Witnesses. They don't beleive Christ is God so they can not be Christians and they think that heaven will be on earth. They beleive only 144,000 people will make it to heaven. They don't beleive in h**l. If you are an evil person who dies they think you just cease to exist. I would definately not consider joining that religion. Even though they are friendly and all, they are a dangerous cult.

  8. I hope you really read the answer of the girl I think it was Debbie that says the bible wasn't written for us!!! Enough said right there.

Witnesses believe what men tell them to believe NOT what the Bible says. You can really see that when you read some of their answers.

I wish they knew that the bible is for ALL of us and the Holy Spirit is for everyone not just a select few....

  9. Hi there,

Unfortunately, the Jehovah Witness faith is a cult. Most of them are the most loving, sincere people you will ever meet. They will call themselves Christians. However, there are differences between JWs and Christianity that are huge.

Probably the biggest difference is this: JWs believe that Jesus Christ was not God. They do not believe in the trinity (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit). They believe that Jesus was created as Michael the Archangel and is God's Son. It's taught that He is our mediator to God (Jehovah).

Christians believe that Jesus is God. "I am the Alpha and Omega, who is and was and who is to come, the Almighty." (Revelation 1:8)

Look at Genesis 1:26. It states, "Then God said, 'Let US make man in OUR image, according to OUR likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea...'"

Look at John 1:1. The JW bible says, "In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God and the Word was A God."

The Christian bible says, "In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God and the Word was God."

Leaving that last "A" out before "God" is a huge issue.

Unfortunately, I have to run, so I'll make the rest of this quick.

JWs believe that ONLY 144,000 are going to heaven. For the rest, they remain on the earth. They call this group on earth, "A great multitude." Read Revelation 1:9. It says, "After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands..." They describe this group as being on earth, not in heaven. Move forward to Revelation 19:1. "After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in HEAVEN..."

It seems me that that great multitude is standing before the throne of God IN HEAVEN!

I don't know about you, but I cannot wait to be in the presence of God (in all three forms) in heaven. I strive to hear nothing more than, "Well done my good and faithful servant." (Matthew 25:21).

Please look at these below links. It will answer any questions to the fundamental differences between Jehovah's Witnesses and Christianity.

    God bless!

  10. I don't think any "real" JW will be on here.  There are a lot of differences.  they believe they are the only true religion, but what's new there....  I am sure you can find one at your door on any given day to ask.  They would be more than happy to tell you all about themselves.

  11. even crazier there're liek christian elite storm troopers coming door to door

  12. Jehovahs don't celebrate holidays, plus there's a law that forces you to bug the **** out of everyone at 8 AM every other Saturday. Otherwise, it's the same old boring-as-**** Christianity.

  13. Your Question should really be:

Should Christians go along with the following:

Halloween- All Saints day-hellfire doctrine-immortality of the Soul- Purgatory-limbo..etc.

  14. Isaiah 43:10 YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none.

First and foremost we use the name of the true God, and are witness to his creation and purpose for this earth.  Which is to restore paradise for all humans.

  15. Jehovah's Witnesses believe in God's sovereignty. This means that we realize that God is the supreme authority over the earth and universe and we should respect him as such.

Jehovah's Witnesses also use God's name, Jehovah extensively.

Jehovah's Witnesses also believe that God's purpose is for his human creation to live on earth forever not under the current condition in which we live, but rather in a beautiful paradise where there will be no sickness and death, but there will be peace and security.

Jehovah's Witnesses also believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ and that Jesus is currently ruling as Messianic King of God's Kingdom.

  16. Hi there,

We ARE Christians.  We accept Jesus Christ as our Savior.

We believe he is God's Only Begotten Son, sent to the Earth to provide a ransom for all humankind.

Our beliefs are clearly outlined at this link, with scriptural references:

    http://watchtower.org/e/jt/index.htm?art...

Thanks for asking JW's specifically about our beliefs...

If you have any other questions, always go to the ONLY OFFICIAL SOURCE, us or our website:  http://watchtower.org/

  17. When they present themselves to the average person, they seem OK. Most are actually good people. But the organization keeps a lot of things hidden from public view, and there's a reason. The following links should help in this regard;

    http://www.rickross.com/groups/witness.h...

    http://www.watchtowernews.org/

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Controversi...

There are many more but these should tell you all you need to know that the official website won't tell you.

  18. Their main teaching is that people who become good Jehovah's Witnesses can survive Armageddon and live forever on a paradise earth. They say hardly anyone today can hope to go to heaven because the limited number for places there (144,000) are virtually all taken up. That is what they mainly try to tell people on their door-knocking work.

This differs from orthodox Christianity in that Jesus said his followers will share the good news about him by being his witnesses. They will speak about Jesus and what he did on the cross to deliver us from our sin. They will point to Jesus and lift him up as Lord and Saviour. Yes, JWs talk about Jesus and agree he is the Saviour but they are much more concerned to teach you about their interpretation of the future than in the old, old story of new life now in Christ.

  19. All religions have one thing in common: they encourage their members to work as hard as they can to gain everlasting life, the celestial kingdom, nirvana, or whatever else they want to call it.

Biblical Christianity, however, is different. Instead of earning our goal as a reward, it is offered to us freely as a gift through Jesus Christ as the perfect sacrifice, whose offering of Himself was complete to earn our way to everlasting life with God the Father.

As Jesus Christ was dying, he said “It is finished” because from that point on, all anyone had to do was to trust His sacrifice to cover their sins. Everyone needs this sacrifice because the Bible tells us in Romans 3:23 that we are all sinners.

We are in such bad condition that when we try to earn favor with God through our good works, Isaiah 64:6 tells us that our righteous deeds are like filthy rags to God. In Mark 10:27 Jesus is answering His disciples’ question, “who then can be saved?” He said, “with man, this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible.”

God realizes that man cannot possibly save himself through door-to-door preaching or ordinances of a church. That’s why God did not send an organization or a church to offer us peace with God, but He sent His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus says in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but through me.”

Don't EVER stop questioning religious leaders.

Acts 17:11 - Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

Did you catch that? The Bereans were NOBLE for questioning an APOSTLE, to see if anything he said wasn't accurate according to GOD's WORD!!!

So if is noble to question an Apostle, it is ALSO noble to question the Governing Body, pope, or any other religious leader. And any religious leader telling you otherwise should be a strong warning to run the other way! Do NOT be misled!

Edit: Notice how they try to limit what information you are exposed to, listing their own source as the only credible one.  They'll even discredit the media when it shows them in a negative light.  Yet, they will hypocritically trust the media when it exposes other religions.  The information control is one of the key factors that leads many to come to the conclusion that they are a psychologically and spiritually abusive cult.

Take heed: Research both sides. Pray about it. Read your Bible.  Trust God, not sinful, errant men.

  20. Jehovah's Witnesses ARE Christians.

Many religions claim to teach what the Bible teaches, so one has to compare a religion's teachings against the Bible.

Compare JW beliefs with what the Bible says:

    http://www.watchtower.org/e/jt/article_0...

Silly idea that there are no JWs online- who then is running the Watchtower website? The Vatican?

  21. watchtower jesus and the jesus of the bible are two different men. on the surface it seems ok. but do your homework.

1.jw's don't believe that christ was GOD.

    2. don't believe in the bodily ressurection of jesus.

    3. jesus and michael the archangel are the same person.

.enough said you see a counterfeit jesus.
