I am a dental assistant and I have been sending my resumes to postings in the paper..but then I decided to just drop my resume off at dental offices around my area just to see what happens...well the one office where i really want to work called me back a few days later to schedule an interview. Do you think they are hiring or they just interview all people who drop off resumes? I really want to get a job there!

  1. It is relatively costly for them to interview, so I think it's probably serious.  Treat it that way, of course.  Good luck!

  2. dental assistants are HOT!!!

  3. Carolynn,

You will never know if you don’t go. Chances are good that they are hiring or they found your resume expressed skills which may be needed in the future. If you are actively pursuing employment opportunities you should go express your interest within the position. Review popular interview questions on the internet such as behavioral or situational based interview questions so that you will be well prepared for what ever they may send your way. In addition, brainstorm as to why you really want to work there so that you may express that within the interview. Make sure that you stay positive through the experience they may be fully staffed now but who knows where they will be six months down the line anything can happen.

  4. These places are pretty busy so I doubt they interview everyone. They probably are hiring so good luck!
