Jobs in durham and hartleepool area?

im leaving school next Wednesday . i wanted to know is there any part time or temporary jobs for 16 years old in the durham and hartleepool area. ive tried argos, asda,currys and woolworths. no joy !

i've even tried the online job sites.

can anybody help me?

i'll do just about anything to get some money for the summer.

Have you been in directly and asked? That's better than posting or e-mailing. Be smiley and take in a well written CV. Have you tried the local paper. The gazette etc?

Don't tell them you want temporary. say you want permanent but are willing to accept temp, or they might think you'll be unreliable. How about the shops at the marina, or glass collecting in the social clubs or pubs? Or shelf stacking in the supermarkets? Again - go in and ask to speak to the manager.
