John Deere Model: M 1949 Brakes?

Question

i have a John Deere Model M 49 and i need 2 brake discs for it. They are 6 Splines and i can't find them anywere on the net can anyone help me out with a link PLEASE Much Apresheatted!

(much later) - Okay, I've looked through my magazines for Deere parts dealers who carry brake repair bits for your old M, here's what I found:

Nothing.

Seriously.  Google "Antique John Deere parts" and you'll come up with the same results I did.  But go to the Yesterday's Tractors site anyway, and just pitch your question there - there's a good chance somebody there will have exactly the parts you need and sell it to you at a fair price.  We're all bitten by the same rustyironitis virus, we watch out for each other.
