  1. Why don't you call the local recruiter and find ot from someone who really kows or can find out?  I hope this isn't true because my granddaughter and her husband just joined last week.  Their credit is not good at all.  I want them both in the Army to grow up some.

  2. yep

if they find out, you're get discharged

  3. The main thing it affects is security clearances. You will still be able to join but you probably won't be able to obtain an Intel or Signal MOS

  4. As a former Recruiter, I can tell you that generally speaking; bad credit will not keep you from joining the Army.  It may limit your ability to obtain a security clearance.  Even so, there are plenty of career choices that do not require a security clearance.

    Good Luck!

  5. That is correct that bad credit can cause you problems. Check with your Army Recruiter. He should be able to let you know if you are still eligible. If anything, you should still be able to get in, but it will limit which MOS's you can get.
