Jon Fitch Overrated?

Question

Hes really only beaten Alves and Sanchez. Burkman isnt that great and neither are any of the fighters hes really faced. Why is he getting so much credit

Perhaps a little.  for the most part, he is really good--but he is becoming boring to watch as he is faced with tougher competition.  In his last couple of fights he seems content to pull out a decision win instead of putting on a good show and trying to finish his opponents.  I don't think hes going to beat GSP in Aug.  especially after his last performance.  He better come to fight against GSP.

jon fitch is not overrated. he has done everything the ufc has wanted him to do and thats WIN. he has not lost in his last 16 matches and i dont care who you are and who you face 16 in a row is alot and whether he fought 16 guys the quality of gsp or some push over he still has to show up and fight those 16 fights. he has 15 consecutive wins and a NC before that. he deserves a title shot for having tied the record by royce gracie of 8 straight wins in the octagon. something matt hughes, gsp, bj penn, thiago alves and matt serra have not been able to do.

It seemed to me that his competition was weak too, but Alves is a beast I just witnessed that this weekend.  Sanchez has become a joke lately.  He is fighting nobodies now and has no chance of being in a major fight anytime soon.  He lost to Koscheck who's soul purpose is to test the nobodies and make sure that's what they are.  His biggest fight was against Diego and he's ranked in the top 10 please.  Maybe Fitch is overrated we'll find out by how good of a showing he gives against GSP.  Well that isn't saying much either since Serra beat GSP and he isn't that good either.

He is amazing. He is a big guy for his weight class, he is strong  and flexible. He is a Bad Dude.. Watch him take in the Rush.  But Rush will win.
